Jeep Wrangler Unlimited EV


"Go Anywhere, Do Anything" is a quick overview about the future of a car with a capability that no doubt, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with EV Range-extended Electric Vehicle. "ENVI has the objective to develop electric-drive solutions for every segment and for each customer," said Lou Rhodes, President - ENVI, and Vice President - Advance Vehicle Engineering, Chrysler LLC. "An electric-drive Jeep Wrangler bring major fuel efficiency and ultra-clean transportation to the consumer market segment that wants to fully explore the environment."

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited EV prototype is a two-wheel-drive Wrangler. However, Chrysler's ENVI organization is exploring four-wheel-drive, electric motors in the wheels to show the full range of advanced technology electric-drive company. When this technology was developed by ENVI, instant high torque of electric motor-drive and the ability to precisely control each wheel independently results in off-road capability ideally suited for the Jeep brand, without compromising on-road capability.

The Wrangler Unlimited also use ENVI EV Range-extended Electric Vehicle powertrain, consisting of an electric motor, lithium-ion battery system is sophisticated, and a small gasoline engine with an integrated electric generator to produce additional energy to power the electric-drive system when needed. Electric motor produces 200 kW (268 horsepower) and 400 N • m (295 lb.-ft.) of torque. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited EV has a range of 400 miles, including 40 miles of zero fuel-consumption, zero-emission, all-electric operation.

The prepared Mopar-forth concept which will be exhibited at next month's SEMA Show is the Jeep Wrangler Overland. Based on the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon in 2009, the Overland sewer utility that supports the back seat, rubber floor flat while the two ARB Simpson II tent mounted to a luggage rack on the roof. The inside of the Overland features water-resistant front-seat covers, carpet rough mud, a son of Daystar dash and switch panel lower the added accessory power.

To further improve the credentials Wrangler's off-road one way of adding up an American Expedition Vehicles suspension of three inches and Full Bar Traction swing back while the vehicle is now up on the tires 35 inches mounted on 17-inch winter steel Mopar / off-road wheels.

Other modifications include steel, AEV bumper, a Warn winch 9.5ti, reduce heat and lampshade snorkel kit plus additional mounted on the windshield and front bumper.
