Bad product drives out good..?.*

Not that this market is really shrinking (i don't think so), but we are watching some double coincidental projects this year ; Bornholm, Corfu, B737-NG and possibly others. What is at stake here ?

There is a chance that the lower quality product will be launched first, in the best interest of its designer. Because who will be dumb enough (me aside) to buy both versions ? With some agressive commnication, the bad product will be bought massively and will clear off the "good" product.

In the case of the B737 NG, things might be slightly different. Oh a lot of people perfectly know that PMDG's product is beyond the other one but iFly's aircraft is very good enough (from what FS9 simmers have said). In that case, can't we assume that ultimately, PMDG's aircraft risk to disappear into hoards...? In both cases, same outcome... That partly explains why the american editor is now speeding up the launch process. Potential customers don't have enough money to buy two B737 NG.
I am not judging, i am not hoping so. But i will try to make some new friends in their accounts departments ! Because, rest assured, they will not publish their sales, none of them.

* Don't try to link this analysis with Gresham's law. This law predicts that the undervalued money will leave the country or disappear into hoards... (but i like the title !)
Nobody said that PMDG's NGX has been undervalued....
I am not telling that Corfu X (GAP) and Bornholm(Vidan) are bad products neither..
