Do Not Freep This AFA Poll

Because ALL of the options are fabulous!

HomoQuotable - R. Clark Cooper

"Ann Coulter is not a serious part of the conservative movement -- her positions are a throwback and do more harm than anything else. Her remarks endorsing the widely outdated and profoundly harmful idea of 'reparative therapy,' alleging that one can 'pray the gay away,' are not only demeaning to gays and lesbians, but are offensive to all people of faith. While her position on this matter is off base, it is exacerbated by her claim that the armed forces should bring back 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,' a failed policy which impedes military readiness. Servicemembers who put their lives on the line deserve respect, not such clownish behavior." - Log Cabin Republicans head R. Clark Cooper, reacting to the GOProud/Coulter story.

Matt Barber On Coulter/GOProud

"Unfortunately I think she really is putting herself in a position here where she could marginalize herself and do damage to her conservative credentials, if you will. GOProud, of course, is a radical, pro-homosexual, activist organization, a socio-liberal organization that is libertarian in some of their policies in support of some conservative and libertarian policies, but certainly they are socio-liberal. There is nothing conservative about the radical homosexual activist agenda which seeks to impose, under penalty of law, sexual anarchy." - Liberty Counsel spokesdouche Matt Barber, on Ann Coulter joining GOProud.

Ann Coulter Joins GOProud

From GOProud's press release:
Coulter’s official title will be “Honorary Chair and Gay Icon.” “Ann Coulter is a brilliant and fearless leader of the conservative movement, we are honored to have her as part of GOProud’s leadership,” said Christopher Barron, Chairman of GOProud’s Board. “Ann helped put our organization on the map. Politics is full of the meek, the compromising and the apologists – Ann, like GOProud, is the exact opposite of all of those things. We need more Ann Coulters.” “I am honored to serve in this capacity on GOProud’s Advisory Council, and look forward to being the Queen of fabulous,” said Coulter.

Coulter opposes same-sex marriage, ENDA, hate crimes laws, the repeal of DADT, and pretty much any LGBT rights legislation. Therefore, she's a perfect fit for the kapos at GOProud.

Homocons Back NOM On Allen West

The quislings at Gay Patriot are backing NOM's contention that "homofascists" forced a Florida business group to rescind its speaking invitation to noted homophobe Rep. Allen West.
Bowing “to pressure from gay activists who threatened a business boycott“, a gay South Florida business association has cancelled a meeting with U.S. Rep. Allen West. Seems that that Republican’s views on gay issues don’t perfectly align with those of gay activists. Or maybe it’s that (R) after his name which designates him (to some gay lefties) as a horrible, no good, very bad person. With the Wilton Manors Business Association succumbing to the threat of a boycott, gay entrepreneurs won’t have the chance to meet West, a champion of deregulatory/small government policies which help small businesses, including gay enterprises.
Gay Patriot blogger B. Daniel Blatt, pictured and quoted above, goes on to describe West as a "pretty tolerant" person. Let's go to the record, shall we?

-"When I see anyone with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker, I recognize them as a threat to the gene pool."
-"The U.S. military is not there as a social experiment and for those who will sit up there and say, Congressman, you should understand because you’re black. Unless I’m Michael Jackson, I can’t change my color. But people can change behavior."
-"The term ‘gay marriage’ is an oxymoron. Because marriage is a union and a bond between a man and a woman to do one thing: the furtherance of society by procreation, through creating new life. "

CPAC To GOProud: Don't Come Back!

All of the last year's toadying and boot-licking has been for naught. GOProud will not be allowed to return to CPAC, the annual convention of right-wing hate groups. (You may recall that GOProud used CPAC 2011 to publicize the presidential aspirations of Donald Trump.)

World Net Daily exults:
It's been confirmed. GOProud, the "conservative" organization that has homosexual "rights" at the top of its agenda, is out for the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference. The event, organized by the American Conservative Union, is one of the largest conferences for conservatives held anywhere in the United States each year. But it had faced the loss of some participants over the past several years specifically because of its inclusion of GOProud.

Some of the organizations whose leaders have raised concerns in recent years have included heavyweights such as the Heritage Foundation, Media Research Center, Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America. But word of the change came today when WND obtained access to letters mailed to GOProud as well as the John Birch Society, which also was left on the chopping block by the new procedures that Al Cardenas, the chief of the organization, announced he would implement when he took over.
GOProud whines:
“We have received no notification from ACU. An ACU Board member told me this afternoon that they were unaware of such a decision and that to the best of his knowledge no decision had been made. I certainly hope that is true. The last thing the conservative movement needs right now is a unnecessary, ugly and divisive fight. The stakes in 2012 are too great. GOProud’s number one goal is defeating Barack Obama. That should be the goal of every conservative organization.”

Today In Quisling Word Salad

"The attacks on Michele Bachmann and her family by the gay left have absolutely nothing to do with gay rights. In fact, these attacks have little to do with Congresswoman Bachmann or what her or her husband believes. The truth is that they are nothing more than part and parcel of an orchestrated effort by the left to destroy the Tea Party. For two years now, the left, along with their enablers in the main stream media, have attempted to smear the Tea Party as racist, sexist, xenophobic and homophobic. These attacks on Congresswoman Bachmann are just the latest front in the left’s unending war against the Tea Party." - GOProud's head kapo Chris Barron, writing on his personal blog.

Everybody got that? We're not really attacking the Bachmanns for their stated positions that "gays are part of Satan" and "barbarians" who need to be criminalized, imprisoned, and exported. No, we're really going after the Tea Party, who has been UNFAIRLY branded as homophobic.

VERY FUCKING RELATED: From the spokesman for the unfairly "smeared as homophobic" Tea Party Nation.
I find all this activity to legalize “gay marriage” and to introduce a gay agenda into the curriculums in the nation’s schools a distinct threat to the fabric of a society based on the undisputed normality of heterosexuality. I am pretty sure the “straight” citizens of Boston and elsewhere find it offensive to host a gay parade. I believe the greater society has a right to protect itself, its children and its military forces against these legislative intrusions, mandates and coercions to force acceptance upon it. If it continues, it will become one more factor in the destruction of America, a signal that its moral foundations continue to be eroded.

GOProud's LaSalvia: Being Gay-Bashed Proves That Hate Crimes Laws Don't Work

GOProud president Jimmy LaSalvia went on Fox News to announce that his gay-bashing is conclusive proof that hate crimes laws don't work. LaSalvia is apparently hallucinating that Minority Report's Pre-Crime Division has already arrived from the future.

GOProud: If Michele Bachmann Is The GOP Nominee, We'll Back Her

GOProud today announced that while they have "concerns" about Rep. Michele Bachmann, electing ANY Republican candidate over Barack Obama is their primary goal. Therefore, Bachmann will have the backing of GOProud, should she win the nomination. So what if the nominee believes you are "part of Satan" and that you deserve to be legislated against at every opportunity?
In an interview with Politico, GOProud Chairman Christopher Barron said he was "concerned" and "troubled" by Bachmann's record and past statements about gay issues, but would not "be part of any 'war against Michele Bachmann.'" GOProud officials generally stress that sending a Republican to the White House trumps a candidate's view on one issue. "We are committed to defeating Barrack Obama in 2012," LaSalvia said. "And want to be helpful to whoever secures the GOP nomination."
